After staying at home for a few days, I finally have the chance to go out. This time, I go to the XinHua Bookstore. I've to say that this bookstore is really big. There are lots of books, but I can't find the books that I want! The books are arranged in categories. The section of translated novels only takes up a small percentage of the whole. As a result, I buy only five books.
It's very interesting to find that at a huge bookstore like XinHua Bookstore, it has only a few English publishing! It's just like a drop of water in an ocean. I think there's only one book that you've probably heard of, which is the wounded "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". Is it a reflection that the Chinese people don't often read English? Does the Government do it for purpose, in order to get rid of the political issues? Or, is it simply because the foreign publishing are too expensive? This question is worthy to think of. Unless this bookstore can import and buy a wider range of books, I'll go to there again.
Day is long here, I don't have the passion to learn anything. Although I'm not clever, staying here will make me worse. Gracefully I buy books today, otherwise how can I spend the coming week!
