My mom was on holiday. I suggested that we should go to see the film "Finding Neverland" and she agreed. In order to save money, we got up early at about 8 o'clock. So that we could see the one on 9:30 which was only $25. Wasn't it really cheap? I really had to tell you that the film was FANTASTIC, AMAZING AND TOUCHING. I didn't know why foreign countries could produce such a great film. It was about how the author of "Peter Pan" came up with the idea of Neverland. There was a widow who had four children. In a coincidence, James Barrie (played by Johnny Depp) met them. Following things happened after this. - James started writing the play "Peter Pan" which was the most successful play in his career.
- Since he had spent so much time with the widow, his wife felt sad and left him with a politician before the premiere of the play.
- The widow realized how important James was and so she wanted to have a normal life with him, although she had an illness that couldn't be treated at that time. She died at the end of the film.
The film was really touching. Even me had tears in my eyes, especially when Peter, who was one of the four children, broke the notebook given by James. On the other hand, my mom cried. She told me that the film was too short (about 2 hrs) and she loved Johnny Depp. She said that although he had not many emotions on his face, you still knew what were his thinking. Also, she thought he was really handsome and that I couldn't resist. In conclusion, it was a film that you must not miss and it is suitable for everyone as it was Category I. I had to say that it was really worthy to get up early in the morning!
